
Ricardo Ernst
McDonough School of Business
Ricardo Ernst is the Baratta Chair in Global Business and co-director of the Global Logistics Research program in the McDonough School of Business. He is also the managing director of both the Global Business Initiative and the Latin American Board and the executive director of the Latin America Leadership Program. He joined Georgetown in 1987 and is a member of the Georgetown Americas Institute Faculty Committee.
International activities include:
- Author of over 25 publications in academic journals and co-author of a book on Global Operations and Logistics (John Wiley and Sons, 1998) and on Innovation in Emerging Markets (ed., with J. Haar; Palgrave Macmillan, 2016).
- Ongoing research projects include the Journal of Globalization, Competitiveness, and Governability, where he is the editor-in-chief.
- Assisted organizations like the Pan-American Health Organization and the EXIM Bank in developing metrics and performance evaluations for coordinating supply chain projects
- Has consulted with General Motors, Michelin, Rockwool, Casa Cuervo, FEMSA (Coca-Cola), Wal-Mart, the Pan American Health Organization, and the World Bank.
