Michael Armao, the CEO of Verstand AI, delivers lectures on applied geopolitics and technology, drawing upon a unique blend of academic training, operational experience, and industry leadership.

A graduate of Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service and a former member of U.S. Army Special Operations, he has spent nearly two decades developing and deploying advanced technology solutions for commercial, defense and intelligence clients across international theaters.

In his teaching, he draws on real-world work with senior military and civilian decision-makers, AI-enabled decision-support platforms, and complex multinational programs to help students connect theory to practice.

His current interests focus on how emerging technologies, data architecture, and geopolitical analysis can be integrated to improve strategic foresight, risk assessment, and policy design.
