Latin America Leadership Program

Cristina Ruiz is the senior associate director of Georgetown University’s Latin America Leadership Program (LALP) at the McDonough School of Business (MSB). In this role, she leads LALP’s strategy and operations, guiding program development and communications while driving key initiatives that advance the long-term growth and impact of its programs and alumni networks, strengthening the university’s engagement with Latin America. Prior to her role in executive education, she served as cultural projects officer at the Embassy of Spain in Washington, D.C., managing a wide array of cultural and educational initiatives across the U.S. for over a decade, including the SPAIN arts&culture program, to promote intercultural exchange and cooperation between Spain, Europe, and the Americas. Her work spanning higher education and the public, nonprofit, and private sectors over three decades has given her an adaptive, effective approach to business and program management, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and team development. Cristina holds an Executive Master’s in Leadership (EML) from Georgetown University, an MBA from the Instituto de Empresa (IE Business School), and a dual Bachelor's and Master's degree in Economics and Business from the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas (ICADE) in Spain.
