GCL2021 Project Recognized in the World Agility Forum (WAF) Awards 2021
Cristhian Ortiz Elizarbe (GCL 2021, Peru) was recognized this past September at the World Agility Forum (WAF) Awards 2021 in Lisbon as part of the Community Organization category. WAF 2021 is a global event that recognizes worldwide high-impact innovation initiatives that use agile frameworks and generate a significant impact on society.
Cristhian Ortiz is the founder of Learn and Share English, a social enterprise that provides English classes and environmental education for free. The project has more than 3,000 students in Peru and 16 countries in the region. These clases use the Flipped Classroom by LASE© methodology which consists of presenting the theoretical component through asynchronous videos and using the virtual synchronous time to develop significant and personalized learning through practice and application of the concepts.

Cristhian Ortiz's initiative has earned global recognition as one of the most important social projects. The WAF Awards were judged by 12 outstanding professionals from Germany, USA, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Egypt, South Africa, and India. The other finalists in the Community Organization category were projects from Scotland, Portugal, and India.
