Andrea Picaso (ILG 2017) elected the first Deputy Minister of Human Capital and Organizational Management

Andrea Picaso (ILG 2017) has been appointed the first Deputy Minister of Human Capital and Organizational Management at the Ministry of Economy and Finance, recently established by the Government of Paraguay.
The new Ministry of Economy and Finance assumes and expands the functions previously assigned to the Ministry of Finance, the Secretariat of Public Administration, and the Technical Secretariat for Economic and Social Development Planning.
Andrea holds a degree (with honors) in Economics from the Universidad Nacional de Asunción and a Master of Public Policy and Management from the University of Melbourne, Australia (QS World University Rankings 2024: ranked 14th among the Top global universities).
Furthermore, she is a Specialist in Government Financial Administration from UNE and a Specialist in Public-Private Partnerships from the Tecnológico de Monterrey (Mexico).
She completed the Innovation and Leadership in Government Program at Georgetown Univesity in Washington DC in 2017 and received training in Financial Programming, Macroeconomic Management, and Fiscal Policy from the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank, as well as Public Administration from KOICA (Korea International Cooperation Agency) among others, including Leadership Programs (INCAE) and Women Empowerment (Government of India).
