From the Director

Innovation in government requires public managers to recognize and act upon new ideas and ways of providing services while maximizing limited resources. Increasingly, there are greater pressures on governments to be more accountable and provide measurable results to citizens.

Georgetown University's intense three-week Innovation and Leadership in Government (ILG) brings together public managers from Latin America with at least five years of experience. The programs seeks to equip public managers and policymakers with analytical frameworks and tools to generate and implement innovative public policies, while providing them with leadership development opportunities to effectively promote and implement new ideas and programs in their respective government entities.

ILG welcomes public managers from diverse countries and government sectors that enrich the learning process by sharing perspectives and experiences, and provides a unique networking platform to foster ties beyond the duration of the program. I invite you to learn more about this program in the following pages.
